After a decade of struggles both with poverty and politics in Britain and the near misses with artistic recognition, a breath of fresh air was called for. The artist moved to Madrid, Spain, where not only did he continue to develop his painting, but also turned to music and jazz. The artistic style snapped back towards realism, albeit with certain interesting takes on classical perspective.
